Did we know?

I saw this video at a Book Presentation (one called Open Mind from Macmillan). Shoking truth... mmmm.... Stoning statistics, we all should take into account in our daily teaching practicum.

More Food for Thought

I remember we role played at a restaurant, we made giant menu cards and the kids brought toy money and both client and waitress (or waiter ) had to add and subtract. It was a very funny class, where they had to exercise every skill to have fun!

Food and more Food

I remember I was so hungry, and so were they.

More food realia

Amazing

Food Realia

My students from 5th grade got to create this project, they absolutely mastered the materials, using from recycled paper to toys and real food.

CITY COUNTRY COMMUNITY

this work was used in both units.

City and Country for 4th grade
Community workers for 3rd grade

Good at Vocabulary, Colors, Prepositions, and so on and on...

Kitchen, Living room and Dining room

This is beyond words. I love the way my students used different materials to create a wonderful piece of art. The kitchen with a real window. And the room that shares area to cook, eat and watch TV.

Nice and Creative

3rd graders are arounf 8 or 9 year old.
This was their project
The idea was very basic.
Create a room of the house using a shoes box.
Create furniture for a room, considering that scale.
The outcomes... priceless.

This is a garage...
